PEOPLE BUSINESS PARTNER
You know HR. We need someone who knows what to do with it.
You’ve spent years learning your craft.
You know employment law. You know how to conduct an investigation. You know that the answer to a complicated employee-relations issue starts with getting the facts.
And when someone says, “I think this is what we should do,” your instinct is probably to ask:
What does the data say?
What does the policy actually say?
What are the facts?
What are we trying to solve?
If that sounds like you, take our two-question survey to apply: https://go.cultureindex.com/p/Egagvf4gtjq1PfKORcj
If your ready to face problems worth solving, keep reading.
Team JCK is a growing, multi-brand restaurant organization looking for an experienced People Business Partner to support leaders across our restaurant operations.
This isn't an HR desk job.
One day you may investigate an employee complaint. The next, analyze turnover, coach a leader through a difficult employment decision, research an unfamiliar legal question, or spot a pattern across several restaurants that others haven't seen yet.
We need someone who can move quickly without becoming careless.
Someone who will examine the evidence, understand the applicable law and policy, identify the risk, and make a thoughtful recommendation.
You’ll have room to operate.
We hire experienced professionals because we want their expertise.
You'll exercise independent judgment, manage investigations, advise leaders, interpret policy, analyze workforce trends, and recommend solutions.
You won't have someone standing over your shoulder telling you how to handle every conversation. But you also won't operate on an island. You'll have an experienced People Operations team behind you and operational leaders who need what you know.
You may be our person if...
You have 6+ years of progressive HR experience.
Employment law and employee relations are firmly in your wheelhouse.
You know how to conduct a thorough workplace investigation.
You're analytical and comfortable with Excel, HRIS reporting, and workforce data.
You like researching unfamiliar questions until you find the answer.
You appreciate clear expectations, useful data, and defined processes.
You work well independently and don't need constant supervision.
You notice inconsistencies and ask good questions.
Multi-unit, restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience is a strong plus.
SHRM/HRCI certification and English/Spanish bilingual ability are valued.
Expertise matters here. So does how you use it.
Our values are Leadership, Kindness, Fun, Service, and Teamwork.
We expect excellent judgment without arrogance. Accountability without losing compassion. Confidence without losing curiosity.
Because behind every investigation, policy question, spreadsheet, and business decision is a human being.
This is a regional field-based role with approximately 50–75% travel throughout the assigned region.
If you're an experienced HR professional who likes facts, autonomy, difficult questions, data, and solving problems correctly, we'd like to meet you.
Bring us your expertise. We'll give you somewhere meaningful to use it.
